first description: (die einer braunroten Scheibe gleichende Rasse der Art)

Hab.  Rarissima, ut videtur, in collinis saxosis prope Tacuarembó ditionis Montevideensis.
Obs(ervationes).  Varietas a typo recedens costis minus elevatis vix stria flexuosa separatis et tuberculis minus distinctis, sed praecipue areolis verticaliter ellipticis disco eximie pulvinulato – prominulo atro – ferrugineo donatis, aculeis hyalinis 6 – 12, arctissime adpressis brevissimis (0,5 – 1,5 mm long.) omnibus subaequilongis non retrorsis. Flores ut in typo.
